INEC declares Aiyedatiwa winner of Ondo governorship election

INEC has confirmed Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the Ondo State governorship election held on Saturday, polling 366,781 votes.
Aiyedatiwa outperformed his main challenger, Mr. Agboola Ajayi of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), who garnered 117,845 votes.
The APC secured victories in all 18 local government areas. The Labour Party (LP) and Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) recorded 1,162 and 2,692 votes, respectively. Prof. Olayemi Akinwunmi, the collation officer, announced the results at INEC's State Headquarters in Akure.
