The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Monday, March 31, and Tuesday, April 1, 2025, as public holidays to mark the Eid-el-Fitr celebration. This significant Islamic festival marks the end of Ramadan, a month of fasting and spiritual reflection for Muslims.

Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo urged Nigerians to embrace unity, peace, and generosity during the festivities. He emphasized the importance of love, forgiveness, and unity in fostering national harmony and called on Nigerians to pray for the country's peace, stability, and development.

Tunji-Ojo also encouraged citizens to celebrate responsibly and remember the less privileged through acts of kindness and charity. On behalf of the Federal Government, he extended warm Eid Mubarak wishes to all Muslim faithful, hoping the festival would bring happiness, success, and fulfillment to individuals and communities across the country.
