Breaking News: DSS Arrest Blogger for Cloning Website and Defrauding Citizens

In a swift operation, the Department of State Services (DSS) has apprehended a 32-year-old blogger, Sylvester Victor Augustus, for cloning the agency's website and posting a fake recruitment notice.

The suspect, a native of Abak Local Government Area in Akwa-Ibom State, was arrested at his residence on Akpan Eno Lane in Abak.

According to reports, Augustus created a fake online recruitment notice on the cloned website, intending to defraud unsuspecting members of the public. The DSS had promptly debunked the notice, warning citizens not to fall victim to the scam.

The arrest is a significant move by the DSS to curb cybercrime and protect citizens from online fraud. Augustus, who claims to be a graduate of the University of Uyo and a blogger, will soon be arraigned in court.

This development serves as a warning to individuals and groups engaging in cybercrime and online fraud. The DSS remains committed to protecting Nigeria's cybersecurity and bringing perpetrators to justice.
